Payments will be made in full and up front preferably via Venmo or CashApp (@CarolSoSketches / $CarolSoSketches, respectively). If the Client does not have or does not prefer Venmo or CashApp, payment through PayPal invoice is possible.

Payments will be based on the prices listed in the Commission Information and/or discussion with me (Carol So). Prices will vary on commission type, specific commission information, and special requests or details.

Refund policy. No refunds will be given once I begin work on the piece. If for some reason I, the artist, cannot finish the commission, a full refund will be given.

Payment shall be discussed. When the agreed upon payment is received in full, I will begin the commission. The time it takes for me to complete a commission varies between 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the type and complexity.

I will send you updates about your commission weekly, and/or upon request. You will receive three main updates, detailed below:

First update: I will send a watermarked low resolution concept sketch (sometimes with values). Can ask for adjustments in concept, expression, posing, and flat colors. Will not move forward without written approval.

Second update: Will send watermarked low resolution half-render. Can ask for adjustments in value, small adjustments in posing (i.e. changing eyebrow expression, adding extra strands/sections of hair, etc). Will not move forward without written approval.

Third update: Will send watermarked low resolution full render with color notes. Can ask for adjustments in values, and any other reasonable and small adjustment.

I retain all rights to my art.

Commission(s) will be drawn on a 300dpi, sRBG, 12in x 12in or 8in x 10in canvas, unless otherwise specified.

Commissions to be used for personal use only, unless otherwise discussed. Read details regarding commercial use art in the next section.

Commissions can be reposted and/or used as icons/profile pictures with proper credit (I.e. “Pfp by @carolso_sketches on Instagram.”).

Do not edit or obstruct the signature/watermark from the illustration in any way.

Clients do not have the right to mint/sell my commissions for NFT.

Unless otherwise stated, the product a client receives will be a digital illustration (.jpg file) to be sent via e-mail or via Dropbox download link. If the illustration has transparent elements, a .png file will be sent. Both a .jpg and .png file will be sent upon request. The illustration will not be physically shipped to the client, unless otherwise discussed.

A physical print of the commission can be sent to the client upon request and with additional payment to pay for the cost of labor and shipping. Additional payment price will vary, please discuss with me (Carol So).

I have the right to refuse service for any reason.

All terms of service subject to change or adjustments based on discussion between myself and the Client.

Commercial use commissions are defined as: (A) art used with the intention for monetary gain, such as art to be redistributed and sold as stickers, prints, or any other merchandise or item in which a monetary exchange occurs), (B) art used for indirect monetary gain, such as advertising or branding, such as. art to be used on YouTube channels, Twitch channels, business logos, advertisements, etc, even if YouTube channels, Twitch channels, or anything similar are not monetized, commercial use still applies, and/or (C) anything determined to be commercial use at the discretion of the Artist (Carol So).

Commercial use commissioned art to be used for individual redistribution (I.e. stickers, prints, etc.) for profit (Commercial Use A) are subject to an Art Licensing Contract, which may include royalties to the Artist,

Prices for commercial use commissions shall be discussed between the Client and the Artist. (Note: emote commissions prices are not affected by commercial use price increases.)

If you’ve purchased a personal use commission but would like to use it for commercial use B later on, a commercial use payment shall be discussed.
